Janice Mae Lewis

Mrs. Janice Mae Lewis, 80, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Janice was born on July 17, 1941, in Frenchburg, Kentucky to James and Parthina Alexander.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, trees, reading and especially spending time with her loving family. She was also a woman of strong faith. Mrs. Janice retired from Gulfstream after working there for over 25 years.

Mrs. Janice was preceded in death by her father, James Alexander; and mother, Parthina Short Alexander.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil “Van” Lewis;  daughters, Tawnya DeLoach (Paul), and Elyce Edenfield (James); son, Cecil “Van” Lewis, Jr.; grandchildren, Mitchell Crawford, Jacob Crawford, Kristina Crawford, Alexandra Williams, Dakota Gardner, Clover Lewis, and Colton Lewis; great grandchildren, Korven Crawford, Ailee Crawford, and Asher Gardner; and  brothers, James (Debbie) Alexander, David (Pauline) Sexton, and Allen Alexander.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 2-3pm at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home.
