Lisa Walker Rackley

Lisa Walker Rackley, 62, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

Lisa was born on March 8, 1960, in Miami, Florida to Henry Franklin Walker, Sr. and Lois Dora Walker. She was a long-time resident of Effingham County.

Lisa dedicated her life to caring for those around her. She was the true definition of a caring mother, grandmother, and caregiver and would often go without so she could provide for others. Lisa was always there if anyone needed her. She loved with passion and fear.

Lisa held many titles in her life, but the one that she loved the most was, “Meme”. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and often doted on them. They all knew who to go to when they wanted something, especially after mom and dad already said “No”! She would say “I’m their Grandma, it’s my job to spoil them”.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Henry Walker, Sr.; and mother, Lois Walker.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Rackley of Guyton; sons, Larry (Kimberly) Middleton of Guyton and Alex (Allison) Middleton of Ellabell; grandchildren, Abby Middleton, Cooper Middleton, Liam Middleton, Karly Middleton and Oliver Middleton; sisters, Wanda Wagner of Rincon and Shannon Walker; and brother, Henry Franklin Walker Jr. She was also very close to her niece, Casey Reese, who she thought of as a daughter. Lisa is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mom, we love you dearly and you will forever live on in our hearts and the hearts of the many people who knew and loved you.

A visitation for the friends and family of this wonderful woman will be held at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, December 26, 2022, from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in the chapel of the funeral home with interment to follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville at 3pm.
