Alan Lee Martins

Alan Lee Martins, 72, died Tuesday, December 21,2021, at Effingham County Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 14, 1949 in Willmar, MN and lived in Jensen Beach, Florida for most of his adult life prior to moving to Guyton to be near his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson in 2007.

Al was a special man with tremendous talents.  He worked most of his adult life in the auto body repair business where he was known as the best heavy collision specialist.  He enjoyed shooting, reloading ammunition, and woodworking.  He was always known as the guy with the nicest yard and took great pride in keeping that reputation.  Al was a car guy through and true and loved to talk about the many muscle cars he owned throughout his life. His cars as well as every other aspect of his life were meticulously cared for and always looked like they did the day they were new

Surviving are his son, Judd Martins and wife Casandra of Tampa, FL; grandson, Tyler Martins of Las Vegas, NV; and sister, Sharon Hauser of Minneapolis, MN

Al’s wishes were to join his parents in having his ashes spread in the Atlantic Ocean.  This will be performed in a private ceremony in January.  In lieu of flowers, his desire was for donations the American Cancer Society or the National Rifle Association.
