Albert David Walton

-Springfield- Albert David Walton, 62, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 31, 2021, at his residence.

David was born in Savannah, Georgia on September 15, 1959, to Albert Lee and Ruby Kathryn Walton and lived in Effingham County for many years. He was a retired crane operator. In years past, David and Lydia enjoyed bowling and spending time in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee with their family. David will be missed tremendously by his loving family, that he dearly loved spending time with.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Lydia Walton; parents, Albert Lee and Ruby Kathryn Walton; and brother, Daniel Walton.

Survivors include: his children, Adam Walton (Andrea) of Guyton, and Leah Walton (Ben McClinton) of Springfield; brothers, Ernie Walton (Kathy) of Watkinsville, Donald Walton (Jeanie) of Pensacola, FL, and Alvin Walton (Susan) of Guyton; father-in-law, Randall Wallace of Rincon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 5-7pm at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Guyton Cemetery.
