Alvin Berry

Guyton- Ezra Alvin Berry, 71, passed away, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Alvin was born February 8, 1951, in Charleston, SC to the late Dan and Dorothy Berry. He settled in Effingham County and worked as an automotive mechanic. He was the owner of Bill Wolfe’s Auto Service. Alvin was a member of Solomon’s Lodge #1, F.&A.M., Alee Temple in Savannah, Savannah Shark Hunters, Harley Owners Group charter member and ABATE of GA.

In his free time, Alvin enjoyed camping on Daufuskie Island, go carts, boating, and motorcycles. Alvin was always helping in anyway he could, especially working on vehicles of people in need.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Berry; mother, Dorothy Evans Berry Lewis; sister, Glenda Berry Lynn; and brothers, Dan Berry, Jr., Harold Berry, and Lewis Berry.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janet V. Berry; godson, Joshua Vincent; nieces and nephews, Samantha Raines, Danielle Berry, William Berry; and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on July 23, 2022, at United Church, 1018 US HWY 80 suite 708, Pooler, GA 31322.
