Angela "Angie" Altman

December 7, 1961 — February 27, 2025

Guyton

Long time Effingham resident Angela “Angie” Beebe Altman, 63, of Guyton, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, peacefully in her home. As a mother she provided a loving home where faith and family love flourished. Her children were her greatest pride. As she may not have been dedicated to a home church it didn’t stop her from having faith and reading her bible, being a beacon of light to those around her, always offering words of encouragement and prayers. She loved to cook, spend time with her family, most importantly her grandchildren, wearing the color red, and cheering loud and proud for her Georgia Bulldogs. Prior to her getting sick and suffering a broken heart from her sons passing she had a heart that knew no bounds, she gave selflessly, always putting the needs of others before her own.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Lavern Beebe, Sr.; mother, Laura Annette Beebe; brother, Howard “Bubba” Beebe, Jr.; and son, Timothy “TJ” Altman.

Angie is survived by her two children Tiffanie Beebe of Guyton, Ga., Lori Morton of Springfield, Ga., daughter in law, Ashley Altman of Guyton, GA.; as well as 4 grandchildren, Emma Thomas, Gavin Sapp, Dawson and Avery Altman; sister, Sherri (Mike) Williams, several nieces and nephews who loved her as “Aunt Angie”; a number of aunts and uncles; and two bonus grandchildren, Trista and Hope Kenny. Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is rejoicing with the Lord and at peace.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025, from 3 to 4 PM at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow in the chapel of Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home at 4 PM. Interment following the service will be in the Springfield Annex Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandson, Gavin Sapp; nephews, Michael Williams, Howard Beebe III and Toby Fuller; and Shawn Franks and Ron Dasher. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandson Dawson Altman and Patrick Kenny

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made towards the expenses of the funeral service.
