Benjamin Jacob Teston, Sr.

Benjamin Jacob Teston, Sr.,48, affectionately known as Benji, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his residence. He was born on April 21, 1975, in Savannah, Georgia and lived in Effingham County the majority of his life. Benji was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many throughout his life.

One of Benji's greatest joys in life was spending time with his family. He cherished every moment he had with them and created countless memories that will be cherished for generations to come. Whether it was family gatherings or simple moments at home, Benji's love for his family was boundless.

During his working career, Benji was currently employed with Creative Business Solutions and formerly managed Bowen Refrigeration for many years. Beyond his professional achievements and devotion to his family, Benji had a wide range of hobbies and interests that showcased his adventurous spirit. He enjoyed playing golf, took pleasure in boating, singing karaoke, racing go karts, and had an undying passion for NASCAR.

Benji's warm personality and zest for life endeared him to all who knew him. He had an infectious laugh that could brighten even the darkest of days. His generosity knew no bounds as he would go out of his way to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. The impact he made on the lives around him is immeasurable and will be remembered forever.

Benji leaves behind his loving wife, Kristine Teston; mother, Debra Bowen-Daniels(Ricky); father, Ronald Teston(Rebecca); children, Feather Mariah Blanton, Benjamin Jacob Teston Jr., Drew Miah O'Neil(Devon), William Garrett Rahn, Julia Kathryn Rahn, and Bella Falls Teston; brothers, Joel Teston and Brooks Gatch; sister, Kelli Exley(Kevin); and grandchildren, Dani and Daleia;

Benji was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thelma Kelehar, David Benjamin Teston, Gerald Bowen Sr., and Evelyn Bowen; and his beloved Old English Bulldog, Daisy Mae Teston.

To honor and remember Benji's life, a visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Burial will be held in the Rincon Cemetery.
