Bobby Jenkins

Bobby Jenkins of Rincon, GA, passed away in his home Friday, September 23, surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones….Robin Jenkins, wife of 33 years; mother, Nancy Jenkins; brother, Russ Jenkins; daughter, KhrisTonya Jenkins; his loving son, Justin Jenkins and wife Paola; sister-in-law, Sheri Stegin; and nieces, Angel Smith and Melissa Strickland and husband, Tommy Strickland.

Bobby graduated from Groves High School and made a lifelong career in road construction, following in his father's footsteps. He eventually opened his own business, Jenkins Paving & Sitework, Inc. Bobby loved operating equipment and was an expert in the field. He was a very hard worker and loved helping other people. He never met a stranger that he wouldn’t have helped. Doing for others was one of Bobby’s greatest traits. He also loved his dogs, and they welcomed him each evening when he arrived home from work. Some of his hobbies included: going out in the boat, fishing, spending time on his property at Ebenezer Creek. He was an avid gun enthusiast, dedicated family man, loved Jesus, and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Bobby loved to entertain, clean, and do yard work. Cooking was one of his favorite hobbies. Making shepherd’s pie, killer fried shrimp and spaghetti were his choice dishes to cook. There was nothing he couldn’t cook. Bobby just couldn’t sit still. He was always doing something for someone.

He is preceded in death by: his father, Robert Jenkins and stepson, Christopher Rowe.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, September 26, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home with service to follow in the Chapel. Interment will be private.
