Carolyn W. Harris

Mrs. Carolyn Harris, 77, passed away, with her family by her side, on Monday, June 13, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Carolyn was born on July 31, 1944, in Screven County Ga and attended Richard Arnold School. She went on to meet Will Harris Jr. in 1968 and they married on June 29, 1970. She then moved about with her husband as a military family of the Marine Corps and took care of their children and households, while he was on duty.  Finally putting roots down in Rincon Ga, she worked in retail at Friedman Jewelers for many years. She was a member of the Pentecostal church and loved the Lord. She loved cooking, enjoyed reading, putting together puzzles, antiquing, and working on her flowers in the yard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Weaver Harris, Jr; and sons, Wayne Harris and David Harris.

Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Willard Weaver Harris III and Heather Harris; grandson, Willard Weaver Harris IV; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Bobby Strickland.

She had a love for animals and would always say I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck. Mrs. Carolyn will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home on Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 1-2pm with a funeral service to follow at 2pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will take place in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
