Cheryl Lyn Hartlaub

Cheryl Lyn Hartlaub, 63, a loving wife, mother, and Gammie, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah with her loving family by her side. 

Cheryl was born in Dayton, Ohio and resided in Effingham County. She was married to her loving husband of 42 years, Chris Hartlaub, and they were able to travel and enjoy their golden years together. In lieu of a career, Cheryl was a stay-at-home mom, so she could raise her children and help with her grandchildren. She loved photography, the beach, and birds. She would always say “make sure you get my good side.” So, when you see a red cardinal, say hello to mama for us. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Inez Robinson; brother, Kevin Osborne; and sister, Kellie Kuntz. 

Survivors include her husband, Chris Hartlaub; children, Chrystal and Christopher Hartlaub; grandchildren, Noah Adair, Ava Clause, and Maverick Gulu; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Visitation will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 11am-12pm with the funeral service to follow at 12pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Springfield Annex Cemetery.
