Christine DePremio, a remarkable soul who dedicated her life to helping and comforting others, passed away at her residence on Friday, February 16, 2024 in Bloomingdale, GA. She was born on December 15, 1966, in Baltimore, Maryland. Christine's presence touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of compassion and care.
Educated to the highest degree with multiple specialist degrees and also earning a PhD, Christine possessed not only intelligence but also a heart full of love. Throughout her career journey, Christine ventured into various roles that showcased her unwavering commitment to serving others. Starting as a corrections officer and later transitioning to work as a deputy with a Sheriff's Department, she eventually found her calling as a Victims Specialist. Her impactful work extended to esteemed organizations such as the United States Marines, Airforce, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the United States Army. Christine's ability to provide solace and support during people's darkest hours earned her a reputation as a truly special individual who faced challenges with grace and empathy.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Christine was known for her loving nature and genuine care for those around her. Her warmth touched the hearts of many and created lasting connections with all whom she encountered. Beyond her work, Christine found joy in simple pleasures such as the beach, traveling, and soaking up the sun outdoors on a bright day. Her fondness for dragonflies was a reflection of her free spirit and love for nature.
In her passing, Christine is reunited with her maternal grandmother who held a special place in her heart, Juanita Richardson; maternal grandfather, Peter Wolfe; and paternal grandparents, Rev. Otis and Mildred Read.
Christine DePremio leaves behind a rich tapestry of cherished memories with her loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Robert DePremio; sons, Jeremy Adcox and Bradley Adcox; stepchildren, Drake DePremio, Victoria DePremio, and Dylan DePremio; mother, Kay Richardson; father, Robin Read; sister, Melissa Berry; along with numerous family members, nieces, nephews and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
A visitation in memory of Christine will be held on February 22, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home. This will be followed by a funeral service starting at 12:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Christine's honor to National Sexual Violence Resource Center, 2101 N. Front Street, Governor’s Plaza North, Building #2, Harrisburg, PA 17110
