Clara Bell Helmey Howard

-Guyton- Clara Bell Helmey Howard, 92, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Clara was born on August 6, 1930, in Pineora to Thomas and Tula Helmey and remained there throughout her entire life. She was lifelong member of Pineora Baptist Church. Clara loved spending time with her family and was loved by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Winton Howard, Sr.; parents, Thomas and Tula Helmey; brother, Newman Everett; and sisters, Lottie Austin, Elenor Clark, and Carol O’Neal.

Survivors include: her son, Winton Howard, Jr.; daughter, Wanda Hayes; sister, Ann Tuttle; grandchildren, Lauren Robesky, Ben Howard, Nichole Howard-Ross, Ashley T. Howard, and Jessica Hayes; and 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 11am-12pm with funeral service to follow at 12pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Marlow Cemetery.
