Dayle Warren Gilliam

-Guyton- Mr. Dayle Warren Gilliam,53, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Dayle was born in Waycross, Georgia, on July 18, 1968, but lived in Effingham County for most of his life where he was employed at Georgia Pacific. He was a graduate of Effingham County High School, Class of 1986, and proudly served his country as a United States Marine and was honorably discharged in 1993. Dayle was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. He and his family faithfully attended Pineora Baptist Church.

Dayle was preceded in death by: his father, Philip Gilliam; grandfather, James B. Mincey; and uncle, Jack Mincey.

Survivors include: his devoted wife, Lea Gilliam; sons, Zachery Gilliam (Rebecca) and Lucas Gilliam; loving mother, Helen Gilliam; brother, David Gilliam (Sonya); nephew, Joshua Gilliam (Shelby); niece, Jessica Gilliam; uncles, Franklin Mincey and Samuel Mincey; father-in-law, Ivan Anzur; and sister-in-law Ashley Anzur, along with many cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 5:30 – 6:30pm, with a celebration of life to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 6:30pm.
