Deborah Jean (Chilen) Roberts

Deborah Jean Chilen Roberts, 70, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Mrs. Deborah was born in Savannah on April 21, 1951 to Gladys and Nels Chilen. She was the 3rd born of 6 children. She was a member of Abundant Life Church. Often times she could be found working on arts and crafts or gardening. She also loved spending time camping and hunting with her husband. Deborah will forever be remembered for her great sense of humor.

Loving wife, mother , grandmother, sister and aunt….she will be greatly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Barnwell Chilen; father, Nels Junior Chilen; and brother, Richard Wayne Chilen

Survivors include: her loving husband of 52 years, Michael Roberts; daughters, Michelle Roberts Miller (Lance), and Tammy Roberts Amedee; grandsons, Spencer Moore and Hunter Roberts; great grandchildren, Braylynn, Matthew and Story; sisters, Linda Arms (Gary), Cathy Brannen (Allen), and Susan Dobson (Mark);brother, Roger Chilen (Angie); sister-in-law, Cathy Chilen; nieces, Lynn Hart, Katrina Richards (Hal), Tori Brannen, and Whitney Necaise (Dustin); nephews, Eddie Roberts (Lori), Adam Brannen (Kelly), Tyler Chilen, Clayton Chilen, Justin Zipperer (Crystal), Derek Zipperer (April), Tony Burgsteiner, Billy Burgsteiner (Sebahate); and 17 great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Abundant Life Church on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 3pm with Rev. Royce Hendry officiating.
