Derrick Hamby

-Rincon-Derrick D. Hamby, 58, succumbed to long-term health issues on June 17, 2018, at Memorial University Hospital, Savannah, GA.

He was a Detroit native, but chose to relocate from St. Augustine, FL to Rincon, GA in January, 2018, to be near loving family and a slower pace of life.

Derrick was pre-deceased by parents,  Dwayne and Judy Hamby.

He is survived  by: his two brothers, Terry  and Scott Hamby and their families of  the Detroit area; uncle, Jim; his mother’s brother, and his extended family were also special to him. Also, several first cousins, here in Georgia, whom shared his strong faith in the resurrection hope.

He will be greatly missed by all.

Derrick’s wishes were respected concerning events following his demise and no Memorial Service will be held. He will join his family in the Hamby Cemetery, in Dawson Springs, KY.
