Dominic Peter Rela

Dominic Peter Rela nee Domenico Pirino Rela,95, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Effingham Hospital.

Mr. Dominic was born to the late Eulinda Cirelli Rela and Victor Mario Rela in Cliffside, New Jersey and lived in Guyton for twenty-nine years ago.  After retiring as the owner of Marion County Restaurant Equipment in Ocala, Florida, he made his hobby of woodworking, making furniture, and buying and selling antiques his business. He will be greatly missed for his witty repartee and energetic manner.

He leaves behind his wife, Sue Rela; sister, Marge Marhefka of Ocala, FL, daughters, Kim Torppey (Michael) of Baltimore, MD, Kathy Phillips (Jim) of Tampa, FL, and Linda Goldberg (Harland) of Ocklawha, FL; son, John Rela of Texas; niece, Denise Hampton of Ocala, FL; nephews, John Marhefka (Mary) of Butler, NJ, Matthew Rela (Lynn) of Monroe Township, NJ; stepsons, Phillip Moran of St. Paul, MN, Mike Moran of New Port Richey, FL; several grandchildren; and his beloved pet pit bull, FeeFee.

A memorial mass will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Springfield.
