Donald Anthony "Red" Wilt, 66, of Springfield, Ga passed away peacefully on April 3, 2018 at his sister's home.
Donald was born January 21, 1952 in Savannah, Georgia. He was a sub contractor, general contractor, commercial and residential Carpenter. He built homes at the Landings, The Cove in Richmond Hill and numerous other dwellings. He was very gifted in this field. He had his own race car and raced on Old Dixie Hwy. He volunteered at the Food Pantry in Guyton, Ga for three years and was a member of Faulkville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta Schuller Cunningham of Ohio and James Cunningham of Alabama; and his great grandson, Dylan Helmey of Guyton, Georgia.
Survivors include: his previous wife, Betty Joyce Patrick; daughter, Kacie Wilt of Savannah; step-daughter, Shannon Fort (Henry) of Bloomingdale and Crystal Houston (Dale) of Springfield; step-son, Clark Kennedy (Angie) of Guyton; sisters, Caroline Usher of Springfield, Rebecca Wasson (Jeffery) of Springfield and Ruth Ann Morgan (Charles) of Springfield; grandchildren, Ciara Taylor (Aaron) of Port Wentworth, Ty Houston, Trenton Houston, Trinity Houston, Michael Kennedy, Scott Kennedy, Connor Wilt, Anthony Wilt, and Kelsey Wilt; great grandchildren, Zyla Taylor, Xavier Taylor, Mia Rose Houston, Steffie Houston, Jaiden Washburn and Michael Kennedy, Jr.; niece, Jamie Monroe (Eric); and nephews, Tynan and Jacob Monroe.
Memorial Services will be held at Faulkville Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 , at 4PM. Officiating memorial will be Randall Jeffers of Faulkville Baptist Church of Bloomingdale, Ga.
