Donna Marie Sheffield

Donna Marie Wells Sheffield,76, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, with her loving husband by her side. She was born on December 7, 1948, in Guyton to the late Joe Wells and Laverne (Hodges) Wells.

A devoted homemaker, Donna spent many years of her life lovingly nurturing her family and creating a warm and welcoming home that was filled with love. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose dedication to her family was the cornerstone of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Laverne Wells; and sister, Judy Miller. 

Donna leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Arthur “Bubba” Sheffield, Sr.; sons, Arthur “Arty” Sheffield, Jr. (Edna) of Dallas, Georgia, and Robert E. Sheffield (LaQuieta) of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Anthony and Savannah Sheffield both of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; brother, Michael Wells of Rincon; aunt, Nadine Sims of Baxley, Georgia; and her loving nephews, nieces, and cousins. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home from 12pm-2pm with a funeral service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 2pm with Rev. Stanley Tyson officiating. Interment will follow in the Springfield Annex Cemetery.
