Edward R. Markovic

Mr. Edward R. Markovic, 84, passed away September 18, 2022, at Hospice Savannah.

Mr. Ed was born on August 17, 1938, in New York and lived in Effingham County for a number of years.  He was a retired Captain in the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam and retired from working at Johnson & Johnson after 20+ years. In his free time, he enjoyed going out in the boat and collecting lighthouses.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Elizabeth Markovic; and siblings, Ernest Markovic, Jr., and Edna Markovic.

Mr. Ed leaves behind many loving neighbors and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home from 12 – 2pm with graveside services to follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
