Elizabeth Fries

-Rincon- Elizabeth M. Fries, 76, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in the arms of her loving husband.

Mrs. Elizabeth was born in Savannah, Georgia on September 8, 1945, and lived on Talahi Island most of her life before moving to Rincon, Georgia. She was a 1963 graduate of Groves High School and had a long-time banking career before retiring due to illnesses. She was a born-again Christian, a Sunday School teacher, and a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon.  Mrs. Elizabeth was also a member of the Lions Club and was very involved with helping her husband in the Gideons. She will be remembered as a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Eugene Alfred Swailes; mother, Alberta Hayes Swailes; and brothers, Jimmy Swailes and Randy Swailes.

Survivors include: her husband, Thomas Danny Fries, Sr.; sons, Thomas Danny Fries, Jr. (Sheila) and Donny Eugene Fries (Jennifer); sister, Ernestine Evans (Teen); brothers, W.C. Swailes (Paula), Ralph Swailes (Teresa) and Harold Swailes (Mihn); sister-in-law, Cindy Swailes; grandchildren, Amber Elizabeth Fries, Thomas Danny Fries III, and Miranda Dotson; great grandchildren, Ella Diane Boyett and Thomas Danny Fries IV; daughter-in-law, Pamela Dotson (Ronnie) and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 1:30 – 2:30pm at First Baptist Church of Rincon with a celebration of life to follow at 2:30pm.
