-Rincon- Mrs. Elizabeth “Beth” Green Holland, 82, passed away at her residence on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
Mrs. Beth was born in Charleston, South Carolina on September 17, 1939, to James C. and Mary Ann Green and lived in Effingham County for many years. She was the co-owner and operator of Hair Unique for 40 plus years. Beth was a member of Rincon United Methodist Church. She dearly loved spending time with her family and friends. Beth enjoyed sewing with the church sewing group and working with Happy Hearts Church Ministry. She was the director of Effingham County Fair Pageant for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, F. V. “Shine” Holland; and parents, James C. and Mary Ann Green; daughter, Rhonda Holland; and brothers, Joe Green and Mike Green, Sr.
Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Steve Wood of Rincon; son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Sharon Holland of Springfield; grandchildren, Danny Brigdon(Arrie), Alaina Barber(Max), Lyndsee Wood, Jacob Holland(Taylor), and Jared Holland; great grandchildren, Lacee, Matthew, Zack, Hunter, Alexis, Aubrie, Charlotte, and Quinn; brothers, Jack Green(Joann) of Pooler, and Johnny Green of Savannah; sister-in-law, Christine Green; beloved four legged companion, P-nut; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 2pm with interment to follow in the Springfield Cemetery Annex. The family request that friends and family wear mask.
