Fonzo Eugene Watts

-Rincon- Mr. Fonzo Eugene Watts,93, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021, in Statham, Georgia surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Watts was born in Soperton, Georgia and lived in Effingham County for most of his life. He had a love for music and even taught himself how to play the guitar at an early age. Mr. Fonzo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Willbalene “Billie” Watts; and a number of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: his wife of 5 years, Nellie Clanton Watts; son, Larson Watts (Beatrice) of Springfield, daughter, Audrey Ray (Andy) of Rincon, and daughter, Johnnie McDonald of Virginia; grandchildren, Lorrie Watts Morgan(Dekle) of Rincon, Angie Ray Moye(Ben) of Savannah, and Ashley Ray of Seattle, WA; 5 great grandchildren; and extended family, Joey Clanton (Cindy), Chris Clanton (Heather), Lori Fagan (Keith) and Debbie Wilder (Tim).

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bridgeway Hospice & Sonya Elder and Joey Clanton for the love and care given to their loving daddy through his journey in this last year.

Graveside services will be private.
