-Bloomingdale- Mr. Frank “Stevie” Steven Chapman, 71, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Frank was born in Savannah on February 22, 1950 to Carnell and Edna Chapman. He was a dump truck driver for man years and married Gloria Kniphfer Chapman on April 21, 1970. Stevie was known by many as “One Mile” and “Bulldog”. He loved living life to the fullest through simple pleasure like chatting with friends and family and building racecars with his brother.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Chasity L. Chapman; son, Carnell A. Chapman; parents, Carnell and Edna Chapman; brothers, Mike and Dennis Chapman; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Chapman; mother-in-law, Freida Kniphfer; and sister-in-law, Jenny Kniphfer.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Gloria Chapman; sisters, Beverly Thompson (Jr.), and Kathy Smiley; brothers, Ronnie Chapman, Donnie Chapman, and Charlie Chapman (Ann); brothers-in-law, Krenson (Patti), Donald, Eddie (Elaine), and Waring(Melissa)Kniphfer; sisters-in-law, Deborah Witt(Joe), Teresa Kniphfer, Connie Jiran (Pat), Kay Anaya; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, March 15, 2021, from 5 – 7pm. A funeral service will be held at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 11am with burial to follow at 1pm in Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
