Fred Malcolm Hodges

-Springfield- Mr. Fred Malcolm Hodges, 84, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Fred was born on April 21, 1932 in Springfield, Georgia to Christopher Fred and Louisa Anne Keebler Hodges. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy and was a long time resident of Springfield, where he and his wife, Edna and daughter, Donna owned and operated the Family House Restaurant, until their retirement in 2008.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Hodges; son, Michael Hodges and parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Hodges of Springfield; brothers, Ernest Hodges of Rincon and James Allen Hodges (Jo) of Rincon; sisters, Margie Harley of Rincon, Roberta Eason (Paul) of Rincon and Vadalle Hodges of Rincon; sister-in-laws, Flora Naughton of Springfield and Sylvia Smith (Joe) of Tallahassee, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Family of Mr. Fred Hodges would like to express their deepest thanks to Compassus Hospice for their love and assistance.
Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3rd from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. with funeral services to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 10 a.m. Intermemt will be held in the Rincon Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Mr. Hodges' daughter, Donna Hodges.
