Geraldine (Lear) Barnhill

-Rincon-Mrs. Geraldine “Geri” Lear Barnhill, 77, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Geri was born on January 1, 1942 in Savannah, Georgia to George Arnold and Tiny Mae Lear. She enjoyed many years of babysitting many children, cooking delicious meals, working in the church nursery and cleaning the church. Spending time with her family brought the greatest joy to her.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother


Survivors include: her loving husband of 59 ½ years, A. George Barnhill;  son, George William Barnhill of Rincon; daughter, Sharon Anderson (Ellis) of Jesup; brother, George Ernest Lear of Pearlington, Mississippi; sister, Shirley Fail (Ricky) of Rincon; grandchildren, Edwin Randall “Randy Joe” Griffin (Stephanie) of Rincon, Ricky Len Griffin (Rebecca) of Guyton, Nikki Payer (Charles) of Guyton, and Joshua Caleb Barnhill of Rincon; great-grandchildren, Easton Randall Griffin, Elayna Joy Griffin, and Leland Payer; and a  number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Maranatha Assembly of God located at 454 Wisenbaker Road in Rincon, GA from 10-11am with services to follow at 11am.

Riggs Funeral Home in Guyton was in charge of all arrangements.
