-Rincon- Mrs. Gertrude Crapse Shelton, 94, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Gertrude Shelton was born on November 28, 1922 in Lena, South Carolina to Toliver and Alice Crapse. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing and a retired nurse from St. Josephs Hospital. Mrs. Gertrude was a member of the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Home Association and a member of Estill Presbyterian Church.
She preceded in death by her husband Robert "R.L" Shelton.
Survivors include: many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017, at the Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to The Bob and Trudy Shelton Scholarship Fund at Estill Presbyterian Church (P.O. Box 306, Estill, SC 29918), Hospice Savannah Foundation (P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416), or to The Georgia Sheriffs Youth Home (P.O. Box 1000, Stockbridge, GA 30281).
