James E. Berry, 81, passed away at his residence on January 18, 2024, after a long illness.
James was born on January 18, 1943, in Metter, GA.
Mr. Berry dedicated many years of his life to his career at Great Dane Trailers before retiring in 1993. Known for his hard work and dedication to his craft, he made a lasting impact on his colleagues and the company.
Outside of work, James was a man who always kept busy around the house. He took pride in maintaining his home and was often found working on various projects.
He is preceded in death by his father, J.C. Berry; mother, Suzie Mae Berry; son, Ricky E. Berry; brother, Floyd Berry; and great-grandson, Jacob Viduszynski.
James will be lovingly remembered by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Tanya J. Berry; daughters, Tammy Bacon (Ed), Terry Berry (Jeff Fields), and Tina Troiano (Anthony); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; stepson, Kenny Powell (Suzanne); brothers, Johnny, Cliford, Horace, and Grady Berry; sister, Bertie Mae Warlick.
James Berry's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memories live on in the hearts and minds of those he touched.
A visitation will take place on January 24, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.
