James Allen Cowan

Mr. James Cowan, 72, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Cowan was born on January 12, 1948 in Van Nuys, CA to Violet and Howard Cowan. He served in the United States Army and served two tours in Vietnam.  James loved to go on adventures in his jeep and would always have a good story to tell. He loved spending time with his family and greatly adored his grandchildren. He is now resting peacefuly with his son Eric Howard Cowan.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 47 years, Cynthia Ann Cowan; son, Michael Scott Cowan of Guyton; daughter, Anne Christine Fodera of Simi Valley, CA; and grandchildren, Arin James Cowan, Sara Nichole Cowan and Aubree Elizabeth Cowan all of Guyton.

A private memorial service will be held at Riggs Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
