-Springfield- Mr. James "Jimmy" E. Parker, Jr., was born on May 13, 1950 and passed away on February 7, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
He was a hard working diesel mechanic for many years until his health started to decline. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, enjoyed riding his lawn mower and eating butter beans and rice.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Bernice A. Jaudon and father, James E. Parker, Sr.
Survivors include: his sister, Joyce (Steve) Burns; step-father, M.C. Jaudon; step-sister, Janice (Edd) Dorminey and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, February 10, from 11 a.m. - 12 noon with services to follow in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Jimmy to God's Mission House, 1435 Highway 119 North, Springfield, Georgia 31329.
