James F. Rush

James F. Rush, 64, known to his loved ones as “Jimmy,” passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished. Jimmy led a life filled with dedication, humor, and an unwavering love for his family.

Known as an extraordinary husband, father, and friend with an infectious sense of humor, and quick wit. Jimmy was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He found solace and enjoyment in hobbies such as hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy was spending precious moments with his family. 

In his career as an electrical foreman, in Georgia as well as New Jersey, Jimmy was admired for his incredible work ethic and served as an inspiration to his coworkers. Not only inspiring them at work but also helping them become a better person in their own lives.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Patricia Payer Rush; son, James Daniel Rush; daughters, Madison Margaret Rush and Sarah Catherine Rush; granddaughter, Ruth Ann Marie Rush; mother, Margie Rush Barrow (Bobby); brothers, Bobby Rush (Teresa) and Tony Rush; sister, Jan Rush Womble (Todd); as well as several nieces and nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 12pm-1pm with a celebration of life to follow at 1pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
