-Guyton- Mr. James Clifford Wetherington "Jimmy", 66, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, at The Waters of Winchester in Winchester, Tennessee.
Mr. Jimmy was born in Guyton, Georgia on February 21, 1951 to Vasco and Lucile Wetherington. He was a graduate of Effingham County High School, a Veteran serving in the United States Navy and a member of Pine Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his children, Anna Pennington (Bryan) of Manchester, TN and Melissa Wetherington (Kevin) of Manchester, TN; grandchildren, Caden, Blayne and Trinity all of Manchester, TN; siblings, Jean Hadwin (Randy) of Hampton, SC, Edith Morris of Guyton, Leon Horton (Elinor) of Logansport, LA and Claudette Jordan of Guyton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Pine Street Baptist Church on Friday, September 22, 2017, from 10 - 11 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in the Guyton Cemetery.
