Jeanette Googie Williams, 84, passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at her home surrounded by her 2 loving daughters, sister, grandchildren, and a host of other family members. Jeanette was born to the late Aldie S. Edwards and Ellie Morgan Edwards on March 1, 1939, in Clyo, Ga, and lived most of her life in Rincon, Ga.
Jeanette loved her family and devoted her life to taking care of them and was a homemaker and was a member of the Silverhill United Methodist Church. She was a very talented seamstress, who enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children when they were young and still in school. She had a very creative flare and loved to create all kinds of things and sewing plastic canvases. Above all, Jeanette enjoyed it when her grandchildren came to visit, she would spend time with them spinning tales and telling jokes which would result in a lot of laughing and carrying on.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Aldie and Ellie Edwards, husband, George Henry Williams; sons, David and Charles Williams; sisters, Susie Bell Malphus (Ed), Alva Morris, and Eunice Wright; brother, Aldie Edwards, Jr.; and grandson, Lamar Louis Beaupre.
Jeanette is survived by a son, James Henry Williams (Ruby) of Springfield, Ga; daughters, Peggy Sue Williams (Richard) of Sylvania, Ga, and Marsha Knowles Howard and a special Son-In-Law, Dennis James Howard of Rincon, Ga; sisters, Barbara Ann Menser of Clyo, Ga and Carrie Mae Morgan (Ralph) of Clyo, Ga.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Melissa Ann Williams (Keith) of Jacksonville, Fl, Michelle Lynn Danford (Mike) of Rincon, Ga, Anthony Lee Beaupre (Stephanie) of Sylvania, Ga, Lance Lee Beaupre (Marie) of Clyo, Ga, George Nathan Beaupre (Nickie) of Oliver Ga, Sheldon Dustin Knowles of Sumpter, SC, Joseph Oscar Knowles of Rincon, and Chris Howard (Bri) of Springhill, FL; 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
To honor Jeanette’s life a Funeral Service will be held on, Friday, February 23, 2024, at Silverhill United Methodist Church at 1PM. The family will receive friends at the church from 12PM until service time. Interment will follow in the Silverhill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
