Jeanne Blaney Felker, 69, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, under the care of Compassus Hospice surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and beloved friends.
Jeanne was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to a military family. Several places were called home growing up. She graduated from San Bernadino High School and studied nursing at San Bernadino Community College.
After moving to Savannah, she began her career at St. Joseph’s Hospital, met her husband and started a family. She and her family were members of Cokesbury Methodist until 1987 before moving to Clyo, as her husband was working at GA Pacific. In Effingham, they became members of Rincon United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Helen Blaney; sister, Kathy Stratton; and niece, Amy Mendoza; all from San Bernadino.
Survivors include her husband, David Felker; son, Ryan Felker (Melida Castana Marte) of Bonaire, Ga; daughter, Mary (John) Rewis of Guyton; sisters, Tammy (Dirk) Issacs, and Debbie Watkins; brother, David Blaney, all of San Bernadino; grandchildren, Harlee, Haleigh, and Jonathan Rewis, Julian Felker, Malkol and Hansel Guzman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Her family welcomes friends to come visit and celebrate such a selfless, beautiful soul from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Rincon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made in Mrs. Jeanne’s honor to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
