Jerry Lavon Rahn

-Guyton- Mr. Jerry Lavon Rahn, 74, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, with his loving family by his side.

Jerry was born in Savannah, Georgia, on March 28, 1948, but lived in Effingham County all his life. He worked as an electrician and retired from the Effingham County Board of Education. Jerry loved getting together for family gatherings and could often be found behind the grill, cooking up some delicious BBQ for his family.

Jerry also enjoyed spending time with his many friends throughout the community and would do anything for anyone. In his free time, he loved hunting with his hunting dogs and going fishing.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Lloyd and Eloise Rahn; brother, Billy Rahn; and sister, Wanda Stubbs.

Survivors include: his brothers, Charlie Rahn of Rincon, and Lynn Rahn (Debbie) of Rincon; sister, Jennifer McGrath of Guyton; a number of nieces, and nephews; and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 10 – 11AM with funeral services to follow at 11AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Guyton Cemetery.
