Jimmie L. Brown, Jr., resident of Guyton, GA, passed away on December 31, 2017 at the age of 62.
Jim was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia and attended Parkersburg High School and Pittsburg Institute of Aeronautics. He was employed by Gulfstream Aerospace for 40 years and retired in 2015, then worked at Daniel Defense.
Jim played baseball in high school and enjoyed go carts and RC cars, and loved to fish. He was a member of the Harley Davidson "The Hogs" - Savannah Chapter. Jim enjoyed cycling long distance and competitive racing. He loved NASCAR and drag racing and meeting the drivers.
Jim loves to be around people and was a social butterfly. Everyone that met him was touched by his friendly, outgoing, and caring personality.
Survivors include his wife, Coral Brown; mother, Rosellen (Brown) Freshwater; son, Jason Brown and wife Amy; his grandchildren, Tyler and James; son, Joshua Brown; step-daughter, Christa Collins and husband Brandon; granddaughter, Emma. Also preceded by multiple extended family members.
Jim was predeceased by his father, Jimmie Brown, Sr.; step-father, Robert "Bob" Freshwater; aunt, Janie Boyles.
