Jo Anne Malphus

-Springfield- Jo Anne Malphus,83, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Hospice Savannah with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Malphus was born in Kansas but lived in Effingham County for 42 years. She worked at Ogeechee Clinic and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Survivors include: two daughters, Melissa (Tim) Usher of Springfield and Melinda (Patrick) Tebeau of Rincon; two brothers, Jim Daniel and Jerry Daniel both of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren, Joshua Usher of Texas and Jessica (Zack) Usher Nelson of Pooler and one great grandson, Stetson of Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Turkey Branch Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
