John Robert "Bobby" English, Jr.

-Port Wentworth- Mr. John Robert “Bobby” English, Jr.,79, passed away Monday, September 28, 2021, at Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Bobby was born on July 19, 1942 in Guyton, Georgia to John and Pauline English and had resided in Port Wenworth for the last 12 years. The Effingham native was the owner and operator of Kwik Way in Guyton for over 25 years.  He enjoyed traveling, cooking, and sitting on the back porch in his rocking chair. Bobby’s greatest joy came from spending time with his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline English; daughter, Patty Atkins; and sister, Mary Lillian Howell.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 29 years, Shannon English; sons, Stephen(Theresa) and Dalton; son-in-law, Donnie; daughters, Amber, and Chelse; brother, Raymond English(Hedy); sister, Vera Braswell(Danny); grandchildren, Kacy(Kurt), Dusty(Sarah), Rachel(Ryan), Stephen(Jade), Aidan, Paisley, Camdan, Zaydan, Scooter, Charlie, Thomas, Bryan, and Emily(Hunter); great grandchildren, Cooper, Kali, Carter, Greyson, Jake, Leraina, Stephen Jr., and Hunter; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 -11a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 11:30a.m. at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
