Johnny Edwards, Sr.

Mr. Johnny Edwards, Sr., 71, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Johnny was born in Clyo on November 17, 1947 to Theodore and Lura Edwards.  He was a very loving father and friend to many. Mr. Johnny was also a member of the Georgia Hunting and Fishing Federation and the National Rifle Association.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Pauline Edwards; parents, Theodore and Lura Edwards; and sister, Betty Bolton.

Survivors include: his loving children, Shilo R. Johnson (Charlie) of Guyton; son, John Edwards of Clyo; and siblings, Wilber Edwards of Clito, GA; Earnest Edwards (Carrie) of Clyo and Alvin Edwards (Sigma) of Clyo.

A visitation will be held for family and friends at Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, August 2, 2019, from 6 – 8PM. Graveside services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, August 3, 2019, Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in memory of Mr. Johnny to the Georgia Hunting and Fishing Federation, Effingham County Chapter, 1827 Old Augusta Rd. South, Rincon, GA 31326.
