Statesboro- Jonathan Tyler Wilson, 26, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Emory University Hospital.
Jonathan was born in Savannah, Georgia on September 14, 1995. He was a 2015 graduate of South Effingham High School and worked for Baker Construction. Jonathan had many interests including his love of gaming, painting, swimming, and fishing. He also enjoyed fires, waterfalls, and nature. He enjoyed eating Oreo cookies and will be remembered for his love of cooking and creating new meals and being the “Head Chef” of the family.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Melissa Calhoun.
Survivors include: his dad and step-mom, John Wilson and Jamie Mussen; grandmothers, Ester Williams, MaryAnne Stapleton, and Mary Kurth; grandfathers, John Wilson, Jr., and Ricky Calhoun; great grandmother, Carolyn Wilson; brother, Dalton Mussen; step-brothers, Robert Hollis, and Ethan Colquitt; sister, Sarah Hailey Wilson; step-sister, Sarah Hollis; and several cousins, aunts, uncles, and lots of friends.
Visitation will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 5 -6pm with services to follow at 6pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
