Jutta Parree of Bloomingdale, Georgia passed from this earth on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born to Gisbert Jost and Johanna Marie Parree on October 17, 1943, in what is now Poland and grew up in West Berlin. Jutta came to the United States after marrying an American soldier, Joseph Kosmach, in 1967. To improve her English, she watched Another World and Days of Our Lives. Around 1980 she became a US Citizen and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Architecture. In life Jutta had many struggles but she came through them all, like a good strong German!
Jutta always enjoyed her gardens. In fact, that was the last thing she was doing in her life; she was watering her garden.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeannette Hand (Phil Hand) and Paula Nazarian; grandchildren, Amanda Dixon (Lance), Mercedes Nazarian, Nicole Wright, Sara Hand, and Bryan Hand; great-grandchildren, Rosie Dixon, Cade Dixon, Delta Dixon, Maddison White, and Freya Griner; sister, Birgid Parree (Bernd Martins); and nephews, Renee and Jens Parree.
Jutta did not want a big funeral and desired to be cremated. There will be a small family gathering to celebrate her life on July 11, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Jutta’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
