Kathy Spence

Kathy Spence, 65, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, at home under the care of Suncare Hospice, LLC., surrounded by her loving husband, daughter, and sister.

Kathy was born on May 1, 1958, in Huntington Beach, California, but lived in Meldrim for most of her life before moving to Springfield. She lived a life devoted to her family and was a devoted member of Corinth Baptist Church. For many years, Kathy watched children in her home and owned her own cleaning business called Kathy’s Kleaning Services.

Survivors include: her husband, Donald Spence; daughter, Rachel Spence of Pooler; sister, Cynthia Giebner (Michael); brothers, Timothy Griffin (Darlene) and Steven Griffin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 – 11am on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11am. Interment will be held in Meldrim Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Giebner, Jacob Giebner, Randy Griffin, JT Mansfield, Corey Schmidt, and Michael  Granado.
