Keith Lyman Shafenberg, Jr.

-Rincon- Keith Lyman Shafenberg Jr., 33, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 5, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Keith was born in Savannah, Georgia on March 23, 1988, to Keith, Sr. and Connie McCorkle Shafenberg and lived in Effingham County all his life. He was a 2006 graduate of Effingham County High School and worked as an Aircraft Mechanic at Gulfstream. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, spending time at the beach, and fishing. Keith will be remembered by his family and friends as a man who enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to make everyone smile and laugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Connie Shafenberg; and brother, Charles McCorkle III.

Survivors include: his sisters, Donna Dyer (Raymond) of Guyton, Lauren Jankowski (Bruce) of Murrayville, Georgia, and Melissa McCorkle of Gainesville, Georgia; sister-in-law, Lana McCorkle of Blairsville, Georgia; girlfriend, Katrina Stenta of Hilton Head, South Carolina; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and many many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 108 Ale House in Rincon, Georgia.
