-Rincon- Mr. Leslie Edwards, Sr., 75, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
Mr. Leslie was born in Kildare, Georgia on October 29, 1941 to Lester and Vera Edwards. He lived in Effingham County for many years where he was a farmer and a member of Turkey Branch Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Leslie Edwards, Jr.; brothers, Lavon Edwards and Rev. Curtis Edwards and sister, Cecile Fidol.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Edwards and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Sunday, March 5, 2017, from 2 - 3 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Turkey Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
