Leslie Maxine Hinson Jenkins

Mrs. Leslie Maxine Hinson Jenkins, 62, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Leslie was born in Zama, Japan on October 10, 1959, to Lyman and Patricia Hinson and lived in Effingham County for a number of years. She worked as a hairdresser for 20+ years before working 20+ years for Walmart.  In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family, gardening, cross-stitching and crocheting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyman “Larry” Levine Hinson and Charlotte “Pat” Patricia Stripling Hinson.

Survivor include: her loving husband of 44 years, Faron Jenkins; sister, Linda Hinson Sanders-Pelli (Joseph) of Statesboro; children, Kimberly Boyles (Wendell) of Clyo, Hannah Jenkins of Guyton, and Benjamin Jenkins of Guyton; and grandchildren, Steven Boyles, Gracie Boyles, Coleby Jenkins, Kylee-Rae Jenkins, and Preston Hann.

Visitation will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 4 – 5pm with a celebration of life to follow at 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
