Loretta Mary Reilly

Loretta Mary Reilly,66, born on May 28, 1958, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025. She lived a life dedicated to nurturing others, both through her profession and her personal endeavors. 

Loretta enjoyed a fulfilling career that began as a photographer, where she captured moments that told stories and hung in the hearts of many. Her love for education led her to a 14-year tenure as a teacher at HeadStart in Pennsylvania, where she touched the lives of countless children, instilling in them the value of learning and creativity. Devoted to her family, Loretta held dear the time spent with those she loved. Her ability to connect with others extended beyond her professional life; she found joy in playing cards, solving puzzles, and immersing herself in a good book. Each moment spent together was a treasured memory, and her family will remember her warmth and kindness.

As an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Loretta shared her faith and spirit with fellow parishioners and was involved with the Effingham Senior Citizens Group. Loretta's dedication to her beliefs was evident in both her actions and her love for others.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, John Reilly, Sr.; and parents, George and Sarah Schrader.

Survivors include: her sons, John Reilly, Jr. and Andrew Reilly both of Pennsylvania; sisters, Janet Frazier of Springfield, Laura Carter (Michael) of Guyton, and Lois Kourouchin (Dima) of Pennsylvania; nieces, Michelle Hairston of Guyton, Anastasia Washkow of Brooklet, and Bria Rouse of Wilmington Island; and 3 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.

 A Mass celebrating Loretta’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Springfield, GA, starting at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Rincon Cemetery.
