Luther White,71, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at his residence. Born on March 2, 1953, in Savannah, Georgia, Luther's life was a celebration of nature, craftsmanship, and the joy that comes from spending time with loved ones.
Luther was a true outdoorsman, finding joy in various activities that connected him with nature. Whether he was fishing, hunting, kayaking in his favorite creek, shrimping, crabbing, or simply sitting by the fire with a Miller High Life in hand, he embodied the spirit of adventure and relaxation that the great outdoors offered.
A man of many skills, Luther took great pride in being a jack of all trades. He loved the opportunity to work with his hands, whether it was cultivating a flourishing garden or crafting something beautiful. His ability to find beauty and pleasure in the simplest of moments was truly remarkable. Luther’s love for creating and building was matched only by his love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther, Sr. and Kathleen White; and brother, Randy White.
Survivors include: his daughter, Carla Garland (Adam) of Rincon; grandchildren, Grace and Dalton Garland both of Rincon; brother, Charles White of Savannah; sisters, Bonnie Devereux of Savannah, Karen Carter (Buddy) of Savannah, and Laraine White of Savanah; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life to honor Luther will be held at 2pm of Saturday, December 21, 2024, at New Ebenezer Retreat Center in the Lake Pavilion.
