Marsha Ann Thompson,68, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.
Marsha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, sometimes to her own detriment. Her love ran so deep for all her family that their troubles were her own. She gave more than anyone could and never would ask for anything in return (Stubborn). She had a passion for the beach, you could find her there any chance she had. Marsha also had a passion for spotting that one piece of furniture that had been neglected and could bring it back to life. Many people now have that perfect piece of furniture to enjoy. She was a woman of many talents. Her family will miss her and will never be able to forget her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Marguerite Edenfield; and her sister, Gene Loretto.
Survivors include her husband, Jr. Thompson; daughters, Robin Tipton (Jamie) of Statesboro, Renee Smith (Chris) of Savannah, Teresa Wells (Scott) of Sylvania, and Susie Marsh (Jeffrey) of Guyton; sons, Alan Thompson of Newington, and Eddie Thompson of Bluffton; brothers, James Edenfield (Patsy), and Billy Edenfield; sisters, Joyce Horton, and Elizabeth Jones (Charles); 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.
