Melissa England

Melissa Dawne England, 55, of Meldrim, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 after an unexpected illness.

Melissa was born on January 7, 1967 to Sandra and Steven England in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She worked in the service industry for many years. Most will remember her from Bell’s BP on Old River Road.

Melissa was humble, quirky, kind, selfless, family-oriented, and thoughtful. She loved spending time with her family, especially her fur baby, Charlie.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Carter Wright; father, Steven Carroll England; and brothers, Todd England and Scott England.

Survivors include: her sisters, Connie England Hamaker, Denise England, and Amiee England; brother, Steven T. England (Sandra Vandenburgh); nieces and nephews, Phillip Hamaker (Tao), Beth Hamaker Myrick (Kyle), Christopher England, Heather England, Jessica England, Brittany England, Nevaeh England, and Steven England; great nieces and nephews, Bella Smith, Lily Paddock, Early Hamaker, Evelyn Bakar, Madeline England, Matthew England, Zachary England, Rachael England, Grayson Berry, and Sophia Smith; aunts, Karen Cook and Charlene (Vicky) Legg; and devoted best friend, Diane Lee.

A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Monday, November 21, 2022, in the chapel of Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.
