Melmus Morgan

-Clyo- Mrs. Melmus Morgan,. 90, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Effingham County Extended Care Center.

Mrs. Melmus was born in South Carolina and lived in Effingham County most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of Silver Hill United Methodist Church.

She leaves behind three sons, Ralph Morgan (Carrie Mae) of Clyo, Terrell Morgan (Lisa) of Clyo and James Hooker (Casey) of Florida; daughter, Catherine Sims (Randall) of Millen; brother, John Henry Hyman of Clyo, sister, Mary Jane Edwards (Berry) of Clyo; 11 grandchildren: Olivia Coleman, Bryant Edwards, Shannon Lowe, Shawn Lowe, Lisa Edwards, Mia Quigley, Trinity Hooker, Remmie Hooker, Christian Hooker, William Burke and Isac Jordan; 9 great grandchildren: Brandi Quigley, Landon Quigley, Conner Coleman, Sarah Coleman, Wyatt Rogers, Gracie Lowe, Lucas Hooker, Breanna Lowe and Corrie Lowe; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Silver Hill United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
