Michael Davis

Michael Davis, 70, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Michael was born March 11, 1952, in Savannah to Mickey and Velma Davis and grew up in St. Marys, GA. He was a graduate of Camden County High School and attended Falls College in Atlanta. Since 1990 Michael worked for Carey Hillards Restaurant, as a manager.

During his free time, he was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing with his wife, Tina, hunting, and was an avid marksman. Time with his family was always a passion. Having a great sense of humor, he was always the life of the party. Michael enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with anything that had a motor. He loved his faithful dog, Diesel, who enjoyed riding around the property on the four-wheeler. Michael was a man of strong Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by his son, Mykel Davis; father, C.E. (Mickey) Davis; and grandmother, Cherry M. Peeples.

Survivors included his wife, Tina McClendon; mother, Velma Davis, sisters, Sandy Perry Crawford, and Sherry Paez (Israel); Daughters, Keturah Exley, and Teresa McClendon; son, John Ray Vinson; nephew, Jason Perry (Ashley); cousin, Joey Pittman (Betty); 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a great niece and a great nephew.

A visitation will be held from 2-3pm on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 3pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
